Therapy for women who are tired of carrying it all alone.
Many women come to EMDR therapy not because something is “wrong,” but because life feels heavier than it should.
You may be functioning on the outside— working, parenting, caregiving—but inside you feel exhausted, emotionally flat, or constantly on edge. You might wonder why small things feel so big, or why you can’t seem to move past experiences you thought you were “over.”
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps your brain and nervous system process experiences that never fully resolved. Rather than retelling your story over and over, EMDR works with how memories and emotions are stored in the body, allowing them to finally settle.
What EMDR Can Help With
Feeling emotionally overwhelmed or easily triggered
Chronic stress, anxiety, or a constant sense of pressure
Childhood experiences that still affect how you see yourself
People‑pleasing, perfectionism, or difficulty setting boundaries
Relationship patterns that leave you feeling unseen or over‑responsible
Financial stress, shame, or fear that feels bigger than logic
Trauma that doesn’t feel “big enough” but still linger
What EMDR Is Like
EMDR is not about pushing you to relive painful memories. We move at a pace that respects your nervous system. Before any reprocessing begins, we focus on building safety, stability, and emotional regulation so you feel grounded and supported.
During EMDR, we use bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to help your brain do what it’s designed to do—process experiences and let them move into the past. Many clients notice that memories lose their emotional charge, self‑criticism softens, and their body feels calmer and more present.
How EMDR Differs from Traditional Talk Therapy
EMDR therapy does not require talking extensively about the issue or completing homework between sessions. EMDR therapy focuses on using your brain’s natural healing process to change the emotions, thoughts and/or behaviors resulting from the distressing issue. Many of my clients have come to me after trying talk therapy but not feeling the improvements or changes they were hoping for. EMDR therapy can offer a direct path to healing even if you’re feeling “stuck” in old patterns, emotions, and behaviors.

Why EMDR Works Well for Women
At this stage of life, many of us are juggling careers, relationships, caregiving, and expectations—often while ignoring their own needs. EMDR helps untangle old patterns that say you have to hold everything together or take care of everyone else first.
Together, we work toward relief that feels real—not just coping better, but feeling more like yourself again.
